About Coventry

Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and has a high population density. The city is historically a centre for cycle and motor manufacturing and is home to the Swift Motor Company, Coventry Motette and the Great Horseless Carriage Co. Although the motor industry has declined, Jaguar has retained its headquarters in Coventry and Peugeot have distribution centres in the city.

Today the main industries in the city include electronic equipment, agricultural machinery and telecommunications. However there is also a large service sector with finance, research and design and development being major revenue winners for the area.
